Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching element drive device that has a simpler configuration although it is able to achieve both an increase in switching speed and restriction of ringing of output current.SOLUTION: When a driver circuit 20 turns off MOSFET 50, which is a switching element, the gate of the MOSFET 50 is connected to a source via a parallel circuit 30 composed of a capacitor 31 and a resistor 32. Immediately after turned off, the capacitor 31 is not charged. Therefore, the same potential as the source is applied to the gate of the MOSFET 50, switching speed can be improved. In addition, the capacitor 31 is charged by discharge from the gate capacity of the MOSFET 50 turned off, the amount that the capacitor is charged increases as switching progresses, thereby increasing the potential difference between the gate and the source. Accordingly, the switching speed of the MOSFET 50 decreases, making it possible to restrict ringing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
