PURPOSE: To obtain a resin compsn. having excellent sliding characteristics as well as excellent rigidity, tapping strength, processability, etc., by blending a synthetic resin with silicon dioxide, paraffinic oil and carbon fiber in a specified ratio.
CONSTITUTION: A compsn. is formed from 100pts.wt. synthetic resin, 1W20pts.wt. s silicon dioxide, 1W30pts.wt. paraffinic oil and 1W20pts.wt. carbon fiber. As the synthetic resin, styrene resins and mixtures thereof with other resins are preferred from the viewpoints of processability and cost. As silicon dioxide, finely divided hydrated silicon dioxide (SiO2.nH2O) having a water content of 2W10wt% is preferred from the viewpoints of the processability and the antistatic properties of the compsn. Carbon fiber having a fiber length of 1W10mm and a fiber diameter of 1W20μ is preferred from the viewpoints of the rigidity, the processability, etc., of the compsn.
