Abstract:
To solve the problem that although the number of sheets to be printed for each application is known by a printing system, it was difficult before to specify the kind of transaction in which it costs to print and sufficient information for reduction in printing cost could not be obtained.SOLUTION: Features included in printing data are extracted as a feature quantity, data clustering is performed, and the number of sheets to be printed are totaled, cluster by cluster. Consequently, printing costs can be grasped not based upon an application which has generated the printing data, but by clusters corresponding to contents of actually printed printing data, so the printing costs can be accurately grasped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
