Title:
SYSTEM FOR INTER-PROCESS COMMUNICATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2809209
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transmission efficiency by reducing the number of times to notify event generation, to unnecessite consideration of retransmission or the like at the event data transmitting side even if pipe communication to inform the event generation is in failure, and to continue event communication even if the pipe is disconnected by fault, etc.
SOLUTION: An event information storing means 11 in a process 1 stores event data in an event data storing queue 5 in a share memory 4 and forwards a counter 6 by '1'. Here, the event information storing means 11 accesses an event generation notifying means 12 to notify a process 2 that an event is generated via a pipe 3 only when the counter 6 is changed from '0' to '1'. If the information of event generation is received via the pipe 3, an event generation receiving means 13 in the process 2 accesses an event information obtaining means 14, and a timer control means 15 accesses the event information obtaining means 14 at constant periods to read out specified number of event data that is indicated by the counter 6 from the event data storing quene 5.
