PURPOSE: To inform a first subscriber of the disconnection of a call under holding by detecting the disconnection of the call under holding when a second subscriber under holding disconnects the call, so as to send disconnection notification sound to the first subscriber.
CONSTITUTION: While the first subscriber 100 and the second subscriber 200 are speaking, new incoming-call to the first subscriber 100 is detected so as to send interrupting sound to the first subscriber 100. At the time of detecting a switch instructing signal from the first subscriber 100. the communication opposite side of the first subscriber 100 is switched to a third subscriber 300 and the second subscriber 200 under speaking is held. Then, this system is provided with a call disconnection detection means 410 detecting the disconnection of the call in holding and a disconnection notification means 420 sending disconnection notification sound to the first subscriber 100 when the second subscriber 200 in holding disconnects the call. Thereby, at the time of disconnection of the call in holding between the first and second subscribers 100 and 200, an exchange sends a signal sound showing disconnection to the first subscriber 100.
