Abstract:
To provide a system which prevents a decrease in effective recording capacity and has high reliability as a whole in a digital signal recording and reproduction system for simultaneously recording the same data in two HDDs.
A plurality of HDDs 1 to 6 are connected and two HDDs among them are made to be a pair to perform recording. When residual recording quantity of the HDDs is used up, one HDD is switched to a new HDD to continue recording. In such a case, the HDD is selected so as not to use the same HDD continuously twice.
