PURPOSE: To give a kernel for generating the concept of consonants and enable a pronunciation learner to master the correct consonants and a board syllable by providing a cut part which shows a check part for a voice air flow and a consonant part figure which shows the friction between the voice air flow and the articulation trachea in a voice air flow area.

CONSTITUTION: The consonant part figure is formed by providing the cut part 3 which shows the check part for the voice air flow such as the teeth, tongue, lips, etc., and the arrow 2 which shows the friction between the voice air flow and articulation trachea in the voice air flow area 1 which shows a range of the air flow when a voice having a noise component or and a vocal chord component shown by a nearly rectangular plane are pronounced. The consonant part figure which shows a friction sound represented by a pronunciation symbol 's' has the cut part 3, which is formed small on the left side and large on the right side, below the sound air flow area 1 which is a little wide in voiceless interval and shown by slanting lines, and the arrow 2 whose horizontal part is a wave line is displayed in the voice air flow area 1. At the cut part 3, the voice air flow is impeded by the tongue and the gums and made narrower in range to the outside of the month, so that a sound is pronounced.
