Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the contrast ratio and color shading and to obtain a picture with high quality by arranging a tint member between a face plate of a projection CRT and a rear face of a projection lens provided in front of the face plate. CONSTITUTION:A tint member 17 is arranged between a face plate 12 of a projection CRT 11 and a rear face of a projection lens 13 in front of the plate 12. Thus, a reflected light in the lens barrel and on the surface of the projection lens is largely absorbed while being passed through the tint member reciprocatingly, the reflected light reaching the screen is decreased to improve the contrast ratio considerably. Thus, a picture with high quality is obtained and when a tint member whose light transmissivity is partially different is in use as the tint member, the color shading generated due to different projection main axis is improved.
