To provide a temporary coffering structure, by which the labor of the execution of works can be saved, the term of works be shortened and economical execution, etc., be carried out, and a method of construction thereof.
This temporary coffering structure is constituted by providing a cylindrical temporary body 1 being constructed around a pier 2 built in water so as to surround the pier 2, intercepting water and ensuring a working space in the periphery of the pier 2 and anchor bodies 3 being installed at the lower end section of the cylindrical temporary body 1, being fixed onto the footing section 2a of the pier 2 and fastening the cylindrical temporary body 1 onto a footing section 2a. The cylindrical temporary body 1 is constructed cylindrically in such a manner that a plurality of liner plates are connected and mounted mutually in the periphery and height direction of the pier 2 and water-expansive water stops are interposed to the mutual joining sections of the liner plates.
