To attain improvement in efficiency of temporary fixing work of an insert.SOLUTION: A temporary fixing method for an insert 10 is a method for temporarily fixing the insert 10 to a panel material 20 including a panel hole 20h in which the insert 10 can be stored, and the panel material 20 in which the panel hole 20h is formed. The temporary fixing method for the insert 10 includes an insert disposing step and an adhesion step. In the insert disposing step, the insert 10 is disposed in the panel hole 20h. In the adhesion step, a first adhesive 31 is injected into the panel hole 20h, the first adhesive 31 is hardened and in a direction orthogonal with an opening face 20a of the panel hole 20h, an adhesive layer is provided over the panel material 20 and the insert 10 at the side of the opening face 20a in the first adhesive 31. In the adhesion step, a front face 14b of the insert 10 disposed in the panel hole 20h is brought into contact with a support surface 50s in contact with a front face 222b of the panel material 20 and covering at least a portion of the panel hole 20h.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
