Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tensile-compression test method in which a tensile- compression test keeping a plastic region constant can be performed easily and with high accuracy.
SOLUTION: An EPP computing part 13 computes a value (the value of 1/2 of a plastic region Epp) which corresponds to the strain amount of a point where a straight line passing the detection value of a stress σ and a strain ε and which has a gradient equal to the gradient of an elastic line obtained in advance is crossed with the straight line of a load σ = 0. When a level comparator 14 judges that the value exceeds a desired value set in an Epp target value setting part 15 always up to the later cycle from the first cycle of a tensile compression operation, the increase and the decrease of the desired value of an elongation in a desired-value output part 1 is reversed, and the tensile compression operation is reversed.
