Abstract:

To provide a tension member and a manufacturing method for the tension member.

The tension member 5 for a building extending a tension element 10 such as either of a steel bar, a steel wire or a steel strand into a tubular coating 8, particularly an inclined rope for an inclined-rope bridge is provided. The cross section of the tubular coating 8 is formed in a free excess cross section 11 in a section excepting the cross section of the tension element 10, and a filling member 12 for regulating the horizontal motion of the tension element 10 in the tubular coating 8 is arranged to the free excess cross section 11. The filling member 12 has a hollow chamber abutted against a specified place in the extension direction of the tension member 5 while being composed of a deformable skin 13, and the hollow chamber is filled with a filling medium 27.
