Title:
TERMINAL CRIMP DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1197147
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an easy judgement whether a crimper and an anvil are brought into contact with each other or not to prevent break beforehand by displaying a screw-in necessary limit position to a crimper holder on a screw part of a shank bolt. SOLUTION: Slits 40a-40d are formed along the axis on the outer periphery of a screw part 16b from a head 16a of a shank bolt 16. The length thereof is made so that a crimper 14 and an anvil 17 do not contact each other even if the ram 11 comes to a lower dead point if the length is short and an end 40A can not be observed as it is hidden by a nut 15a in the case that the bolt 16 is fastened and fixed to a crimper holder 15 by means of the nut 15a. If the length is large and the end 40A can be viewed from the upper direction of the nut 15a, there is a danger to cause the crimper 14 and the anvir 17 to collide on each other. Accordingly, the existence of such a danger can be judged easily according to the state that the end 40a of the slits 40a-40d can be viewed from the outside or not.
