To provide a textured polyester yarn which alternately has different dyeing properties along the yarn in its longitudinal direction and simultaneously can impart an excellent soft touch and an excellent dry touch to a web obtained by knitting or weaving the yarn.
This textured polyester yarn alternately has thickly dyed portions and slightly dyed portions in the longitudinal direction. The processed yarn simultaneously satisfies the following conditions. (1) 1d ≤ the fineness of a single filament ≤6d. (2) The crystallinity of the thickly dyed portion is ≥48.5%. (3) The crystallinity of the thickly dyed portion - the crystallinity of the slightly dyed portion ≥1.2%. (4) 5% ≤ the rate of the slightly dyed portion in the longitudinal direction of the yarn ≤30%.
