CONSTITUTION: This substance NF177391 has the following physical properties: properties: light-yellow powder; specific rotatory power [α]D: +32° (c=0.85; methanol); molecular weight: 470.95, fast atom bombardment-mass spectrometry (FAB-MS)m/z 547 (M+2K-H); infrared absorption spectrum: β KBr max 3400, 2970, 2950, 2930, 1735, 1650, 1570, 1440, 1300, 1230, 1180, 1150, 1060, 1020 and 970cm-1; ultraviolet absorption spectrum: 206 and 203 (sh) nm; solubility: readily soluble in methanol, ethanol, chloroform and acetone, sparingly soluble in water and ethyl acetate and insoluble in hexane; color reaction: positive to the iodine vapor reaction, cerium sulfate-sulfuric acid and the Ehrlich reactions and negative to the Molisch, ninhydrin and ferric chloride reactions; division of acidic and basic: an acidic substance.
