Abstract:

To provide an easy-to-assemble/disassemble thermal printer in which tension of a ribbon can be regulated easily for a variation in power supply voltage.

The thermal demand printer comprises a casing having a hinged cover panel 66, easy-to-remove guide structure and medium hanger, and one central supporting part 74. The printer 60 comprising a power supply circuit receiving power from an external power supply and regulating the power in accordance with the operation of the printer is further provided with an input unit receiving a command signal concerning to the operation of the printer, a control circuit for processing the command signal to generate a printer control signal, and a print head assembly for processing the control signal to generate an operation control signal of the printer. The control circuit and the print head assembly are fixed to the casing and connected with the input unit and the power supply circuit.
