To provide a thermal recording material which can produce a high-quality image free from density nonuniformity by effectively preventing a sticking stain from being generated on the surface of a thermal head after printing, while maintaining a printing torque reduction effect, as a thermal recording material for recording an image using a thermal head, and a method for manufacturing the thermal recording material and a thermal recording method using the thermal recording material.
The method for manufacturing the thermal recording material is to laminate a thermal recording layer and a protecting layer containing a higher fatty acid ester, on a support. The higher fatty acid ester to be used has not less than 300°C heat decomposition temperature. The thermal recording material is obtained by the method for manufacturing the thermal recording material. The thermal recording method comprises thermally recording an image in the thermal recording material using a thermal head.
