Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the color developing capacity, whiteness and oil resistance of a thermal color forming layer by adding a compd. having one or more specific sulfonylhydrazinosulfonyl group per one molecule to the developer of the thermal color forming layer allowing a dye precursor to develop a color.
CONSTITUTION: A thermal recording material is constituted of a sheet like support and the thermal color forming layer containing a colorless or light- colored dye precursor and a developer reacting with the dye precursor under heating to form a color formed on at least one surface thereof. One or more kind of a compd. having one or more sulfonylhydrazinosulfonyl group represented by-SO2NHNHSO2per one molecule is added to the developer. By this constitution, the color developing capacity, whiteness and oil resistance of the thermal color forming layer are enhanced.
