Title:
THERMAL TRANSFER INK FILM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03158270
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate qualitative inferiority caused by the increased frequency of using an ink film and reduce a winding time after making one complete round of use of film and the number of parts by providing diagonally the notched parts of a feed core and a winding core of multi-ink film.

CONSTITUTION: A near end mark is detected after the first transfer of multi-ink film 2 and an ink film cassette 1 is taken out. Then the cassette 1 is reversed horizontally and laterally and the second transfer is started. This sequence is repeated five or six times and the life of the ink film 2 is terminated. A method of detecting the frequency of using the ink film 2 is such that claws 1-a formed in a plastic cassette 1 in one piece with the frequency of use is described, are broken when the cassette 1 is taken out and reversed horizontally and laterally after making one complete round of use on the ink film 2. The claws are injection-molded to be thin so that they can easily be broken by a user. Subsequently, the ink film can be set in a different direction and need not be wound back after making one complete round of use. In addition, time required for winding the film is saved and the cases in which creasing, winding abrasion and roll thickening occur are reduced.
