Abstract:

PURPOSE: To apply a good printing even to a rough-surface paper, by a method wherein an ink ribbon provided with a magnetic powder-including ink layer is inserted into a gap between a platen having an attracting magnetic force and a thermal head.

CONSTITUTION: An ink ribbon 16 formed by including magnetic powders 15 in an ink layer 16b is inserted into a gap between a platen 14 of a permanent magnet and a thermal head 13 so as to be in contact with the thermal head 13. After an ink is melted by the thermal head 13, the included magnetic powders 15 are attracted to the platen 14 by the magnetic force. At this time, a carbon black and a binder are simultaneously moved to be efficiently transferred in good compatibility with not only a plain paper but also recessed parts of a rough paper.
