PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer system capable of transferring the overcoat area of an ink ribbon on the whole surface of a body to be transferred.SOLUTION: A thermal transfer system is characterized in that a control part supplies a body 14 to be transferred in a normal direction to protrude the tip 14A of the body 14 frontward a thermal head 18, transfers an overcoat area onto the tip 14A by the thermal head 18 while returning the body 14 in an inverse direction, and then supplies the body 14 in the normal direction to transfer the overcoat area onto the whole surface except the tip 14A by the thermal head 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
