To obtain a thermally shrinkable tube having both of stable antimicrobial action and explosion-proofing properties by using a polyethylene terephthalate polymer and an antimicrobial agent, and by specifying the haze value after thermal shrinkage.
The objective tube is obtained by using (A) a polyethylene terephthalate with an intrinsic viscosity of, preferably 0.4-1.5, more preferably 0.5-1.0 and (B) 0.01-1.0 wt.% of an antimicrobial agent and ad-justing the haze value to ≤60 % and the thickness preferably to 70-150 μm after shrinkage and the shrinkage percentage preferably to ≥ 20%, preferably 22-40 % in the diameter direction. The component A contains ≥70 mol.% of ethylene terephthalate recurring units based on the whole units. The component B is preferably an inorganic antimicrobial agent, for example, an antimicrobial zeolite in which the ion-exchangeable ions are substituted with an antimicrobial metallic ion partially or wholly, or a phosphate antimicrobial agent.
