Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spin-Seebeck effect type thermoelectric conversion element capable of generating power from a temperature difference between an ordinary temperature and cold by using the cold as a heat source at a low temperature side, a thermoelectric conversion device and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a thermoelectric conversion element 1 comprising, as required constituent members; a substrate 4; a thermal spin-wave spin flow generator 2 which is provided on the substrate 4 so as to have a fixed magnetization direction with a magnetic insulator material and generates a thermal spin-wave spin flow by generating a temperature gradient; a conductor 3 which is provided in contact with the thermal spin-wave spin flow generator 2 and has inverse spin-Hall effects; and electrode terminals 5 and 6 for extracting a current from the conductor 3. The thermoelectric conversion element 1 is characterized in that the substrate 4 is a cold transfer substrate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
