Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition excellent in chemical resistance and impact resistance by incorporating a small amount of a polyester elastomer in an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer with the composition and molecular weight distribution within respective specific ranges.
SOLUTION: This thermoplastic resin composition comprises (A) 96.1-99.95 pts.wt. of a composition composed of (i) a graft copolymer prepared by grafting a monomer component composed of an aromatic vinyl monomer and vinyl cyanide monomer to a rubbery polymer and (ii) a copolymer prepared by copolymerization of the above monomer component, 15-30wt.% in the above rubbery polymer content, 32-50wt.% in the vinyl cyanide content of the acetone solubles, and 50000-100000 in number-average molecular weight, (B) 0.05-3.9 pts.wt. of a polyester elastomer composed of hard segment (consisting of aromatic polyester) and soft segment (either aliphatic polyether, aliphatic polyester or aliphatic polylactone, or mixture thereof).
