To obtain a thermoplastic resin modifier that solves problems related to handling and dispersibility of polyfluoroethylenes, and endows flame retardancy and molded article appearance when added to a thermoplastic resin, and a thermoplastic resin composition using the modifier.
The thermoplastic resin modifier (A) comprises a polytetrafluoroethylene (A-1) and a polymer (A-2) having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 40-98°C. The thermoplastic resin composition is obtained by adding the thermoplastic resin modifier (A) to a thermoplastic resin(B) such that the added amount of the polytetrafluoroethylene (A-1) is 0.001-20 pts.mass per 100 pts.mass of the thermoplastic resin (B). A molded article is obtained by subjecting the thermoplastic resin composition to injection molding, extrusion molding, extrusion-blowing molding, injection-foaming molding or extrusion-foaming molding.
