To form quality images with the use of thermosensible recording material manufactured by a method of no waste matter by permitting an ink tack-free phase to contain silicone-based polymer.
The thermosensible recording material is composed of covering a recording layer containing a homogeneous ink receptable phase and an ink tack-free phase on the carrier. The homogeneous receptbale layer of ink contains a continuous hydrophilic binder, and the ink tack-free phase contains ink tack- free latex of silicone-based polymer. In addition, the thermosensible recording material contains a compound that can convert light to heat. The carrier of the thermosensible recording material is preferable to be a carrier suitable for such lithographic printing plate material. The carrier can be a layer having a hydrophilic or hydrophobic surface such as a metal or glass layer. When the thermosensible recording material is heated and exposed into ultraviolet rays in accordance with images in order to obtain a lithographic printing plate, the exposed region becomes ink tack-free, and the non-exposed region remains ink receptable.
