To provide a thermosensitive recording material having a high preservation stability, further excellent sensitivity and image uniformity by smoothing by high calendering treatment and to obtain a multicolor thermosensitive recording material having similar properties and small mixture of a color tone.
In the thermosensitive recording material having a thermosensitive color developing layer on a support; (1) the developing layer contains composite fine particles made of at least one type of a polymer substance selected from a polyurea and a polyurethane and a dye precursor and a developer for color developing the precursor by reacting with the precursor by heating, and (2) a thermosensitive recording surface has a smoothness of 500 to 10,000 sec of a Bekk smoothness.
