Title:
THREE-DIMENSIONAL ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SETTING VOLUME DATA DISPLAY AREA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006288471
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a three-dimensional ultrasonic diagnostic system by which a volume data display area including no obstacle such as noise can be easily determined.

The three-dimensional ultrasonic diagnostic system is provided with a three-dimensional scanning means of ultrasonic wave, a two-dimensional ultrasonic image generating means for generating two-dimensional image data and a three-dimensional ultrasonic image generating means for generating a three-dimensional ultrasonic image, an interest region setup means which sets up an interest region on the above two-dimensional image indicated by the image display means, a luminance gradient calculating means which determines the luminance gradient from a pixel value of two-dimensional ultrasonic image data in the interest region which is set up by the interest region setup means, a boundary point deciding means which decides boundary points between an observation object and objects other than the observation object on the basis of the luminance gradient calculated by the luminance gradient calculating means and a display range deciding means which decides the display range of the three-dimensional ultrasonic image on the basis of the position of the boundary points decided by the boundary point deciding means.
