Title:
THREE-DIMENSIONAL WOVEN FABRIC OF ORTHOGONAL TISSUE AND ITS COMPOSITE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04209850
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a three-dimensional woven fabric for ultralightweight composite materials having excellent mechanical characteristics by sealing the intersecting points of the orthogonal tissue of the three-dimensional woven fabric with an adhesive, and further tying the intersection points with fibers, the three-dimensional woven fabric being produced by arranging yarns extending in three dimensional directions in a three-dimensional lattice-like state.

CONSTITUTION: The intersecting points of an orthogonal tissue produced by arranging three-dimensional yarns in a three-dimensional lattice-like state are sealed with an adhesive. The intersecting points are subsequently tied with covering fibers spirally wound on the three-dimensional yarns to provide the three-dimensional woven fabric having an orthogonal tissue not causing the disorder of the mutual arrangement of the three-dimensional yarns, when the woven fabric is wound up or when a matrix resin is filled in the woven fabric.
