Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a collet chuck for gripping a rod pierced therein to grip and release the grip rapidly with strong force in a through type striking hammer device.
CONSTITUTION: In a collet chuck 5, a collet 25 is provided at the outer periphery of a rod 1, and the rear end side of the collet 25 is tapered, divided circumferentially by a slit 27 and fitted to the tip side of a chuck driver 29 to grip the rod 1. A cylindrical piston 31 is provided on the tip side of the collet 25, and the piston 31 is moved longitudinally by the oil pressure of a cylinder 35 to move the collet 25 longitudinally through a coupler 41, thus gripping/releasing the rod 1.
