The retractable pin-type thumbtack (1) in which a pin (4) is held in a freely retractable manner comprises a body (5) provided with the pin (4) and a cover (6) which is freely slidably attached to the body (5) and has a through hole (15) formed for the purpose of protruding the pin (4). The thumbtack is designed to have a vent passage (17) where the body (5) and the cover (6) are connected with the pin (4) housed inside the cover (6). In addition, the vent passage (17) has a vent hole (19) formed on a pressing face (18) that pressurizes an object (3) to be fastened with the retractable pin-type thumbtack (1). Also, a pressing projection (20) for pressurizing the object (3) is formed on the pressing face (18). Furthermore, a hook (22) is installed in the body (5) in a manner changeable between a posture of being housed and a posture of being used.
