PURPOSE: To provide a time count circuit which can measure the pulse intervals of pulse signals with high accuracy and small power consumption.
CONSTITUTION: This time count circuit is provided with an inverter ring 11 which consists of an odd number of inverters connected together in a ring shape and circulates the signal transition, a holding circuit string 12 which outputs true signals of output terminals of all inverters that construct the inverter ring 11, a signal converter means which consists of an inverted circuit string 13a and an encoder 13b and outputs the signals after converting them into the numerical data, a counter 15a which counts the round frequency of the signal transition at the ring 11, a counter output holding circuit 15b, and a time difference arithmetic circuit 14 which has a function to correct the numerical data given from the signal converter means based on the round frequency of signal transition that is acquired from the circuit 15b.
