To provide an inexpensive tine for aeration of a lawn tending machine capable of remarkably reducing labor when aeration operation is carried out, improving abrasion resistance without causing cost increase and enabling continuous use over a long time.
The lawn tending machine has a cylindrical body 21 and a cutting part 22 formed in the top periphery of the cylindrical body 21. The cutting part 22 is provided in a shape having a part protruded or recessed in the axial direction of the cylindrical body 21 to a top port plane F vertically crossing with the axial direction of the cylindrical body 21. The cutting part 22 has a notched part 23A notched so as to be recessed in nearly V-shaped form to the top port plane F. Further, the cutting part 22 is formed in high hardness compared with the cylindrical body 21 by heat treatment of the same material as the cylindrical body 21.
