Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give an alarm suitable for a tire even when the kind of the tire is changed.SOLUTION: A tire air pressure monitoring device 10 includes: four wheel side units 20 respectively secured to four wheels 12 of a vehicle 11; and a receiving unit 40 disposed on a vehicle body of the vehicle 11. The wheel side units 20 send signals containing characteristic information about the tire 14 to the receiving unit 40. A plurality of alarm threshold values are stored in a receiving side storage section 46 of the receiving unit 40. A receiving unit controller 41 selects an appropriate threshold value from the alarm threshold values on the basis of the characteristic information about the tire 14.
