Abstract:

To provide a tire reinforcing material, and a method and a die structure for manufacturing the same, which can improve an appearance shape of a tire by virtue of uniformity in thickness and can properly disperse air, because there are no upper and lower overlap parts in a laminated part at the end of a tire reinforcing sheet material.

The tire reinforcing sheet material Wx is constituted in such a manner that its surface Wz is smoothed when the expansion of the material Wx brings about an increase in the thickness tx of a rubber-like elastic material 4 between reinforcing cords 1 at the vulcanization or the molding of the tire, in the molding of the material Wx. Specifically, when the material Wx is expanded at the vulcanization or molding of the tire and pulled rightward and leftward, a part of the thickness tx, which is formed between the reinforcing cords 1, is deformed in such a manner as to flow in between the reinforcing cords 1, so that the surface Wz can be smoothed in the use of the material Wx.
