PURPOSE: To increase the traveling performance and riding comfortableness of a vehicle by providing an opening and closing valve for opening and closing a connection path between first and second air chambers according to deformation of a tire.
CONSTITUTION: When a pressing force is not applied to the tread 1a of a tire 1 in radial direction, a valve body 8 makes the flange of its end wall 9a in contact with the protruded part 8 at the round hole 7 of a partition 5 by the energizing force of a first spring 10. When the pressing force is applied to the tread 1a of the tire 1 in radial direction, the force is transmitted to the valve body 9 through a second spring 11 to move the valve body 9 in a direction against the energizing force of the first spring 10. When the pressing force is weak, however, the protruded part 8 at the round hole 7 is engaged with the external surface of the first cylindrical part 9b of the valve body 9 to disconnect a first air chamber 3 from a second air chamber 4. When the pressing force becomes large on any bad ground, the force is transmitted to the valve body 9 and the first spring 10 is compressed to connect the first and second air chambers 3 and 4 to each other through a clearance between the external surface of the cylindrical part 9c and the internal surface of the protruded part 8.
