PURPOSE: To improve a pin clutch mechanism providing a pin, and to provide a clutch device in the press which is quite safe and easy for applying to an existing pin-clutch system press.

CONSTITUTION: The device consists of a clutch plate 13 which is movable to the axial direction along a key 14 provided on the shaft end of a crank shaft 11 and energized to a flywheel 16 side with a spring, and a flywheel 16 which is the side direction of the clutch plate 13 and freely fit to the crank shaft 11. The clutch plate 13 has one more inclined grooves 17 on the circumferential surface and plural clutch claws 20 on the side surface, and the boss part end surface of the flywheel 16 has clutch claws 21 freely engaging and disengaging to clutch claws 20 of the clutch plate 13. The clutch is made to engage or to disengage by approaching or separating the clutch plate 13 to the flywheel 16 by operating an operation lever 19 provided on the top end of an operating cam 18 to engage or to disengage with the inclined grooves 17 on the circumferential periphery of the clutch plate.
