PURPOSE: To shorten heating time until a heater plate reaches a band weld temperature at the time of turning ON a power source, efficiently hold a desired band weld temperature of the heater plate after temperature is raised, reduce power consumption and also improve working efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: In a packing machine for feeding and tightening a band to be wound around an outer periphery of an object to be packed and for heating to melt an overlap part of a tip and a rear end of the band by means of a heater activation mechanism, the heater activation mechanism comprises a heater transformer T for converting voltage from a power source to output to a heater 60 and a heater control means H for variable-controlled primary voltage of the heater transformer.
