Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the view of a user and to enhance the mechanical strength of a ratroreflecting body when a plurality of object detecting apparatuses each of which is composed of a sensor head and a retroreflecting body are installed side by side. SOLUTION: A plurality of sensor heads 1 and retroreflecting faces 70 which correspond to them are arranged in the order of a sensor head 1a, a retroreflecting face 70a, a retroreflecting face 70b and a sensor head 1b. Then, the retroreflecting faces 70a, 70b are integrated, a light beam is projected and scanned to the respective retroreflecting faces 70a, 70b from the respective sensor heads 1a, 1b, and the existence of an object 8 is detected according to the quantity of received reflected light by the respective sensor heads 1a, 1b.
