Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an optical information recording medium with considerable high sensitivity and long life by providing a recording film which contains Te, C and F on a substrate.
CONSTITUTION: On a substrat 1 of glass or synthetic resin, sputtering is carried out in mixed gas of gaseous CF4 and gaseous Ar while Te is regarded as a target to form an amorphous recording film 2 with a 200W1μm thickness which contains 5W40atom% C and F as -CmFn radicals. The film 2 never has a transparent area formed by oxidation even in a high-humidity atmosphere and therefore, it is not deteriorated in sensitivity, and high sensitivity and prolonged life is ensured.
