PURPOSE: To increase the displacement correcting power of a steel sheet and to prevent the contact of the steel sheet with side walls by injecting a high pressure fluid from nozzles arranged at the outside in the width direction of the steel sheet.
CONSTITUTION: Plural nozzles for injecting the high pressure fluid in a supporting surface 4 of a floater body 2 are bored. Plenum chambers 7A, 7B are arranged at a part of side walls 5A, 5B arranged so as to face at the outside of the steel sheet 1 to be supported and the nozzles 10A, 10B for injecting the high pressure fluid are arranged at a part of the faced side surfaces to the steel sheet 1. If the steel sheet 1 approaches to one side of the side walls by displacing during shifting, the flowing stream passed between the steel sheet 1 and the supporting surface 4 after passing through the nozzles in the supporting surface 4 is collided with the injected stream from the nozzles arranged at the side walls in the lower surface of the steel sheet 1. The differential pressure between this side and the other edge side, is generated and the displacement correcting power of the steel sheet 1 is generated. The contact of the steel sheet 1 with the side wall is eliminated and the deterioration in quality of the steel sheet 1 is prevented.
