Title:
GATE CONTROLLER FOR THYRISTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5928873
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the lifetime of a light emitting element from decreasing by determining the forward voltage detecting level of a detector by a voltage value obtained by dividing the difference between the maximum and minimum value in the remaining stored charges of a plurality of SCRs by voltage dividing condenser value, thereby operating with one gate signal under all conditions. CONSTITUTION:When the minimum voltage of the remaining stored charges of many SCRs connected in series with each other is represented by v10 and the maximum voltage is represented by v20, other SCRs are disposed between the v10 and the v20. A voltage detecting level is set to the voltage of the voltage v20 at the time point when the voltage v10 becomes forward voltage. Thus, all SCR voltages become the forward voltage when the gate signal is generated, and the gate signal may be produced only once. This voltage detecting level vL can be obtained by VL=DELTAQr/Co from the difference DELTAQr between the maximum value and the minimum value of the remaining stored charges Qr of the individual SCRs and the capacity Co of the voltage dividing condenser connected in paralel with the SCRs.
