PURPOSE: To wind up a cable smoothly as well as to make early damage to a conductive part avoidable, by shifting a balancer weight so as to blance it with the total sum of varying moment due to movements in a traverse and a winding position of the cable.
CONSTITUTION: The position of a movable balancer weight 42 is varied so as to negate unbalanced moment ΔM with the moment produced by the movable balancer weight 42 whereby the unbalanced moment ΔM can be brought to zero during winding operation. In this case, as for shifting control on the movable balancer weight 42, a shifting direction of a traverse guide 32 and a position (x) are detected, a detected value from which the unbalanced moment ΔM is calculated by a microcomputer and, calculating a position (y) capable of negating this moment, the balancer weight 42 is made so as to be shifted in accordance with the calculated value (y).
