PURPOSE: To increase the number of effective images per unit length of endless image display belts of means for allowing these belts to travel.

CONSTITUTION: This image display device 7 is so constituted as to allow the endless image display belts 10a, 10b, 10c which consists of flexible materials respectively disposed with image arrays x, y having continuous images on both surfaces and are formed with odd times of twists Z to travel cyclically and to invert the front and rear thereof in the positions of the twists z. The images in the image arrays x, y are successively and continuously displayed in display windows 9, 9, 9 and are stopped so that the images of either the front or the rear are displayed in the display windows. The front and rear surfaces of the endless endless image display belts of the image display device 7 are effectively utilized in such a manner.
