Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an electrical contact material with superior welding resistance by internally oxidizing an alloy prepared by adding specified percentages of Bi, Cd, In and Zn to silver.
CONSTITUTION: A material consisting of, by weight, 0.1W5% Bi, 1W10% Cd, 1W 10% In, 1W10% Zn and the balance Ag or further contg. 0.01W0.5% of at least one among Fe, Ni, Co and Zr is prepared. The material having said composition is melted and atomized, and the atomized powder is internally oxidized to obtain an electrical contact material with superior welding resistance.
