Abstract:
PURPOSE:To clean an optical disk at the best timing by providing at optical disk device with a cleaning management means which reads cleaning history information to perform the cleaning management of the optical disk. CONSTITUTION:Cleaning history information of a cartridge is stored in a cleaning history information storage part 6 provided in a cartridge 3, and a cleaning management means 7 provided in an optical disk device 5 reads this cleaning history information to perform the cleaning management of an optical disk 2. Consequently, the optical disk in each cartridge is cleaned at proper intervals. Thus, the optical disk is cleaned at the proper timing.
