Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain strong quartz glass adhesives by mixing a specified composition of an organotitanium compd. with epoxy, silicone resins, or cyanoacrylate.
CONSTITUTION: An organotitanium compd. having an alkoxy R1O(R1 being alkyl such as isopropyl), plural ester or ether groups R2O(R2 being an ester such as phosphate or an ether group), expressed by a formula; (R1O)Ti(R2O)3, is added to an epoxy resin, a silicone resin, or cyanoacrylate, and mixed to form quartz glass adhesive. This can adhere pieces of quartz glass even when each having a smooth surface to each other with strong adhesive force.
