PURPOSE: To obtain a prescribed pitch even if the operation starting time or the dimension of a wire material is changed, by controlling a pilot motor so that a prescribed tape winding pitch can be obtained on the basis of the signal transmitted from the first and the second revolution detectors.
CONSTITUTION: When the tape winding pitch is adjusted to a wire material 1, a taking-up machine 14 and a tape winding head 16 are braked by pressing a pitch adjusting button in a control circuit 38, and clutch means 34 and 36 are turned OFF. In this state, each number of revolution of stepless speed change gears 22 and 24 is detected by revolution number detectors 30 and 32, and the control circuit 38 sets the taking-up speed of a taking-up machine 4 and the prescribed number of revolution for all the heads 16 from the dimension of a different kind of wire material to be newly inserted or continuously inserted into a tape taking-up machine 12 and the memorized allowable number of revolution of the head 16, and each number of revolution of the stepless speed change gears 22 and 24 is set for each head 16. Therefore, even if the operation starting time of the machine or the dimension of the wire material is changed, a prescribed tape taking-up pitch can be easily obtained.
