PURPOSE: To provide a spongy rubber composed of a specific ethylene-α-olefin multi-component copolymer rubber, having excellent proces-sability and low-temperture characteristics, and resistant to collapse.
CONSTITUTION: The objective sponge rubber is manufactured by using an ethylene-α-olefin multi-component copolymer rubber composed of (A) 20W75(wt)% ehylene, (B) 25W80% α-olefin, (C) 0W20% diolefin containing double bonds having nonequivalent reactivity, and (D) 0.05W3% 8W20C aliphatic polyvalent unsaturated hydrocarbon of formula (R is H, 1W10C saturated and/or unsaturated aliphatic or alicyclic hydrocarbon group; n is 4W16) having terminal double bonds having equivalent reactivity. The compound of formula in the component D is preferably selected from 1,7-octadiene, 1,9-decadiene and 1,4,7-octatriene.
