PURPOSE: To attain compactness as a whole by unifying major mechanism sections constituting a picture processing device and adopting the construction where the layout of each unit is devised taking maintennace and manufacture into account.
CONSTITUTION: The processing device consists of a recording mechanism section 1, original carrying mechanism section 2, reading optical system section 3 arranged thereunder, power supply 4 placed thereunder further and a printed board 5 arranged at the lowermost stage. The recording mechanism section 1 has a cover 7 in common use with an original placing plate and is incorporated with an opening and closing cover having the capacity for opening and closing the first half of the processing device together with a recording head 29. A roll form recording paper sheet 32 is placed under the opening and closing cover. A light source 19 is arranged under a reader 17 and a contact glass 20 is arranged to the reader 17. The printed board 5 is prolonged to both left and right sides of a chassis and components such as a connector are arranged to the prolonged parts.
